Have you ever wondered how much semi permanent eyebrow treatments cost? Or how much it SHOULD it cost for a good quality service?
We’ve seen lots of customers find themselves the victim of cheap services – which often means cheap quality. On the other hand, we’ve also seen customers spending fortunes on treatments – and we mean FORTUNES. Either way, it is good to know how much the market usually pays for high quality semi permanent eyebrow services. Without knowing, you could seriously regret it.
Relax! We’re here to give you some clear advice.
Before we go any further – please be aware that everything we say in this post is intended as impartial, free advice & entirely unbiased. We are here to educate our followers on how to stay at 100% successful, all the time.
We don’t believe in twisting the truth or lying to our friends at Model Standards – and we promise that we will always give you the correct information & advice, even if that means we don’t get your business.
Now. Enough of the boring talk. Back to the beauty bits.
We’re going to keep this short and simple. Hopefully, whether you’re choosing to get your treatment from Model Standards, or anybody else, this post should help you make a great, safe, economical decision. Enjoy!
The first thing you should know is that ALL semi permanent eyebrow services should only completed by professional eyebrow technicians that have been trained by an official training provider, who has been accredited by an official governing body in the beauty industry.
For example, Kirsty, our salon director, was trained at Dermace Training. Dermace are a UK training provider that have been accredited by BABTAC, HABIA & VTVC – which are all governing bodies in the UK with HUGE authority (see this link for more information about these companies and the Dermace accreditations http://www.dermace.co.uk/dermace-vtct-babtac-habia-accreditations/).
Before you go ahead with any permanent eyebrow treatment (and any permanent makeup/advanced cosmetics treatments for that matter), you should be ensuring that your brow technician is fully certified to be playing with your face. If not, they could cause serious damage, both aesthetically and physiologically. Do a quick check and make sure that you’re in the hands of a professional.
Now, moving on to pricing. It is difficult to judge the market, and prices do move up and down every so often. So don’t quote us on any of these prices – this is just a guideline.
From the market research that we have completed, we can advise that:
The average price of a semi permanent eyebrow service in the UK (for new clients with no previous brow tattoo history) is approximately £295 including VAT. Obviously, the price varies dramatically depending on where you are in the country – with London & surrounding areas being considerably more than elsewhere (as you’d expect).
75% of accredited brow technicians charged between £275 and £375.
65% of the customers that paid less than £200 for their initial treatment explained that they were not satisfied with the outcome of the treatment and that they would reconsider their decision if they could go back in time
Only 2% of accredited treatment providers charged more than £450, and these were all based in London.
Over 75% of the technicians that we looked at charged £150+ for the 12-18 month top-up. There were just a handful that charged between £100 and £150. Keep this in mind!
The numbers speak for themselves – and make of them what you wish. This is simply supposed to be a post to help you understand what you should be looking to pay – if you decide to go ahead.
Unless there is some kind of huge offer on, and you can clearly see that:
- The brow technician is fully qualified, and…
- He/she has a lot of high quality case studies to prove their worth.
…we would advise you to be cautious of services for less than £200. If somebody offered you a brand new Mercedes Benz for £3,000, you’d wonder what was wrong with it. Because Mercedes Benz cars aren’t cheap. Well, the same goes for great brows. Just be aware!
On the other hand, be weary that you’re not being ripped off, too, if you’re being charged much more than the numbers above. Even if the technician is asking for a lot of money, please, ALWAYS be sure to ask for evidence of certifications and pictures/testimonials from past clients. We’ve seen people pay fortunes for terrible eyebrows, and we’ve had to clean up the mess.
Remember, this is all just advice. You need to be vigilant and careful when planning your semi permanent eyebrow treatments. Do not live the rest of your life in regret, with the bitter taste of a con-artist brow technician!
As always, thanks for everything.
Lots of love, Model Standards. X
