In this post, we’re going to explain everything you could ever need to know about semi permanent eyebrow treatments – AND we’re going to give you a step-by-step walk through of the actual treatment.

You’re about to find out exactly why semi permanent eyebrow treatments are one of the simplest & most painless procedures around.

The Benefits

  1. Turns sparse, patchy brows into full, natural brows.
  2. Saves HUNDREDS of hours over the course of a few years because you don’t need to draw your brows in every morning.
  3. Your brows won’t rub off in the rain!
  4. Wake up everyday with the perfect brow shape.
  5. Totally pain free.

Semi Permanent Eyebrow Tattoo or Microblading?

There are different things that go on throughout the semi permanent eyebrow procedure – and to keep it simple, we call them ‘phases’. During each phase, you should feel comfortable, relaxed – and excited for the soon-to-be eyebrows of your dreams.

Eyebrow Tattoo Liverpool

Phase 1 – Semi Permanent Makeup consultation & skin test

The first thing we will need to do is your free consultation. This is where we invite you in to talk about your eyebrow goals – and which look you’re trying to achieve. We will explain the process to you in simple terms so that you understand EXACTLY what to expect, if & when you decide to go ahead. We will also draw the brows on to give you a simple visual of what the outcome would be.

On the same day, we will do a tiny skin test to make sure you’re not allergic to the pigment (pigment is just a special word for the eyebrow inky coloury stuff that goes in to your brow). We will apply a small dot of the pigment onto your skin behind your ear. Don’t worry. In a test of 10,000 people, only 1 person had an allergy.

Semi Permanent Makeup Liverpool

Phase 2 – Semi Permanent Eyebrow Tattoo Preparation (some simple things to do before you arrive)

When you decide to go ahead with the treatment, we will give you a date and time to arrive at the salon. Before you arrive, there are just a few things we need to make sure that you’ve done:

  • Make sure you have clean skin. We do actually place pigment just under a layer of your skin. Therefore, ensuring your skin is clean will massively reduce the risk of infecting the area.
  • Do not pluck or wax the area for at least 3 days before your treatment. We’ll do this for you on the day around the exact brow shape that you desire.
  • Remove all eye makeup. Having a clear face to work on just makes it easier for us to see the natural lines on your face.
  • Do not tint/dye your eyebrows within 7 days before this procedure. It makes it a bit more difficult for us to see which part of the brows are sparse and which ones are thick.

Phase 3 – Arrival and Eyebrow Numbing

Now. You’re in our clinic and you’re ready to rock & roll. You’re slightly nervous, but you’re excited.

First, we sit you down and confirm what we’re about to do. Next, you must sign some forms to give us permission to do the treatment. Just before you do, we put a little bit of numbing cream on to your brows which will stay on there for approximately 20 minutes. Then we’ll remove it. This just helps you feel less when we’re actually delivering the treatment.

Kirsty, our founder & clinic director, will sit down with you and talk you through what is going to happen whilst you’re waiting for the numbing cream to do its magic.

Eyebrow Tattoo Liverpool Chester

Phase 4 – Drawing the perfect semi permanent eyebrow shapes

Next, we’ll draw on the eyebrows again, just like we did at the free consultation. This is just to reiterate what they’ll look like – and make sure you’re happy. It also helps us when we’re actually tattooing your brows. Everything is super simple.

We will also use this time to find the perfect colour match for you – ensuring that you have your ideal brow tone. We’ll work with you to help you understand which colours will compliment your skin, facial shape and hair.

Eyebrow Tattoo Liverpool

Phase 5 – Applying the tattoo pigment to your skin

This is the part that everybody stresses about. But quite often, it’s the easiest part for the client. All you have to do is sit there and look pretty!

We will begin the procedure by applying pigment in simple strokes in the shape of the brow that you have chosen. We use a miniature tattoo gun to insert the pigment under a layer of your skin – where it will stay for approximately 18 months. It will eventually fade.

A lot of people think that Semi Permanent Eyebrow Tattooing is just filling the entire brow shape with a block of ink. This couldn’t be further from the truth- and would look pretty awful. We simply add delicate strokes of ‘look-a-like’ hair to your brow, inside your desired brow shape, so that people actually think the pigment is pieces of hair. This gives your brows a great 3D effect – and it looks SO real.

This entire phase should take about 1 hour. It really doesn’t hurt. Almost everybody says it hurts less than plucking. You can sit back and relax whilst we take care of business.

The goal is to make your brows look EXACTLY how you’ve always wanted them to – naturally.

Phase 6 – The following 72 hours

The next 72 hours should be spent looking in the mirror, smiling, dancing and singing at the top of your voice. But, there are some other things to consider.

  1. The area will scab slightly – this is totally normal.
  2. The ink can appear extremely dark – this is also normal. It will fade by about 30% within 4 weeks. Then you’ll come back for a top up.
  3. You may have some minor discomfort where the skin has been broken, so just keep some pain killers at the ready.

Try not to touch them. Yes. They’re amazing. Yes. They’re lovely. And yes. They’re precious. It is very unlikely, but we don’t want them to get infected.

Eyebrow Tattoo Liverpool

Phase 7 – The Semi Permanent Brow Tattoo top-up procedure

After 6 weeks or so, you’ll come back for a top up procedure. This is where we just add a bit more pigment on the same lines within your brows which makes sure they stay strong for about 18 months (18 months ISH. Everybody’s skin regenerates at different speeds, so it does vary).

On this day, you can expect the same things to happen as we’ve just explained in Phase 2 to Phase 6.

And that’s it! You’re all done! It’s all pretty simple really.

We work with you to make the whole experience as simple and relaxing as possible. It really doesn’t hurt very much at all. We had a young woman in just this week who explained that she literally couldn’t feel anything! It should actually be a fun, exciting experience – with no stress or worries.

If you’re thinking about investing in semi permanent eyebrow tattoo treatment, get in touch with us on the form below, or call in to our office, and we can arrange a free consultation for you.

As always, thanks for everything. Model Standards. X

Botox, Botox, Botox! Here’s Everything You Could Ever Need To Know. https://modelstandards.co.uk/treatments/botox/ Wed, 08 Aug 2018 13:28:53 +0000 https://modelstandards.co.uk/?p=1036 Anti Wrinkle Injections, which are more commonly referred to as the brand name ‘Botox’, is one of the most popular aesthetics treatments available on the market and is regularly used by millions of people around the world.

We want to make sure that every client is absolutely clear about the benefits, potential risks and effects of every treatment they consider investing in – both physically and psychologically.

So, here’s our full breakdown of all things Botox:

What is Botox & what does it do?

Botox is a natural compound which is injected into specific areas of the skin via a small needle. This compound has a special effect on the muscle & nerves in the injected area which has the desired effects which so many women & men are looking for.

Essentially, it stops the muscle from firing in the way that it normally does, and therefore, the function of that muscle decreases. This stops the wrinkles that form when the muscle contracts from forming. This means that facial skin looks smoother.

Over time, the muscles & nerves gradually regain their ability to fire as normal and the wrinkles may appear when the muscle fires again.

Which regions of the face can Botox work for?

The three key areas to get Botox are:

  • The forehead
  • The glabella (between the eyebrows)
  • The crows feet (the area on the outside of your eyes).

Some clients choose to get Botox in other areas of the face & body, but these are less common.

Is Botox the same as filler?

No, not at all. Botox is simply a compound which is injected to limit the usage of the muscles in an area. Filler does exactly what it says on the tin. It fills the space under the skin to plump out wrinkled areas or add volume to certain features such as the lips or jawline.

Botox and filler are totally different treatments and are both used for achieving different goals.

Who should (and who shouldn’t) get Botox?

We ensure that every client that is considering Botox is fully aware of the benefits, the process and the potential risks before they go ahead.

Botox, from a cosmetic perspective, is a treatment which can help reduce the effects of ageing. It should only be used where necessary to prevent and manage facial wrinkles. Individuals in their late 20s and 30s can begin getting Botox to manage fine wrinkles, from a preventative point of view – but young people must not be influenced by others, or your current emotions.

Botox will not (and should not) be used to attempt to change the characteristics of an individual’s face. We urge clients not to be overly aggressive or unreasonable with the treatment. Less is best – as you always have the ability to come back for a top-up.

Botox in Liverpool

How long does Botox last?

Botox will last, on average, 3-4 months – depending entirely on the client’s skin type & body. That is how long it takes your muscles to build & regenerate the receptors which allow your muscle to move freely.

Also, immediately after getting your treatment, the treatment will take between 1-14 days to come in to full effect.

Does getting Botox hurt?

In short, not really. We surveyed 25 people who had their first Botox treatment at Model Standards and 24 of them told us that the treatment was ‘a sharp prick’ with 80% of them explaining that the pain was no greater than a 3 out of 10.

Afterwards, there is no pain at all.

Can you really build up an immunity to Botox?

Although this is a common quote within the Botox world, it only ever happened in highly, HIGHLY rare situations.

In most scenarios, if an individual continuously gets Botox for a long period of time, the muscles show less activity (even without Botox) and essentially, they become slightly weaker. This simply means that the individual may need less Botox going forward – as there is less muscle movement to counteract.

What are the chances that Botox will go wrong?

Botox should be delivered by a trained professional in a clean, sterile environment.

Occasionally, the media will amplify a story about somebody who has seen negative results form a Botox treatment. This is often a result of far too much Botox being injected into areas which should not be treated with Botox.

In terms of end results, when dealing with a professional, Botox is usually a straightforward treatment with a very low risk of a bad outcome – especially when the only areas being treated are the standard three areas, as mentioned above.

Clients may have small bruising around the injected areas, but nothing significant.

Are there any long term side effects?

There are no known long term side effects of Botox.

When managed responsibly, Botox can be a highly effective way of reducing and managing wrinkles.

Often, the media will portray negative photographs and stories about long term usage of Botox. However, there is no scientific evidence to suggest that long term usage of Botox has any negative side effects. The key is to remain responsible & understand what the goal is.

Can you get other treatments, such as SPMU or non-surgical skincare treatments after having Botox done?

Any treatments on the facial area should either be completed prior to getting Botox or a minimum of 14 days after the Botox treatment has been completed.

This gives the Botox the necessary time that it needs to settle & enables best results.

So that’s it!

Our mission at Model Standards is to give girls & women an opportunity.

Our 8 top ways to keep your skin on it’s A-game! https://modelstandards.co.uk/skincare/8-top-ways-to-keep-your-skin-healthy/ Tue, 11 Jul 2017 17:38:09 +0000 https://modelstandards.co.uk/?p=566 Have you ever struggled with nasty skin problems, that just won’t give up?

If you have, don’t fret. You’re not alone.

According to the NHS, 80% of people struggle with acne at some point in there life – and over 55% of women aged 18-55 are unhappy with their current skin condition.

The skin is the biggest organ in the human body – and it is as complex as they come. That’s why, to make it nice & simple for our beautiful followers, we’ve listed our 15 top ways to keep your skin on it’s A game! Enjoy.

1. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.

Sorry about the caps, but it was necessary. We really cannot stress this enough. Most dermatologists will agree that the number one way to see immediate improvement in skin health & appearance is by consuming 8 glasses of water per day (2 litres).

It helps to flush toxins out – and hydrate & regenerate your skin cells.

2. The Dermaplaning Treatment

Dermaplaning is our favourite skincare treatment right now – and people are going CRAZY for it.

It sounds like quite a scary treatment – but it is totally safe & totally pain free (it’s actually quite therapeutic & relaxing). In short, a skincare consultant will remove the layer of dead skin sitting on top of your healthy skin, along with any fuzzy facial hair hair & gunk.

This treatment leaves your face glowing & fresh – and promotes regeneration! It helps prevent wrinkles – PLUS, skincare products will be absorbed up to 60% better for 2 weeks post treatment, too.  What more could ya want? Find out more or book a treatment here.

3. The Chemical Peel (Milk Peel)

This is another skincare treatment that is in MASSIVE demand right now – and rightly so.

This 30 minute facial will see a 50% glycolic acid solution applied to your face – followed by a number of skin rejuvenating creams. The relaxing & peaceful process is known for tightening skin, reducing blemishes, spots & acne, and adding a natural glow to your skin!

A 6 month treatment plan (with one milk peel each month) is widely recognised as one of the most powerful treatments for reducing stubborn acne. To find out more, or to book a treatment plan, click here.

4. Investing in an AMAZING cleanser

This is quite self-explanatory (we hope) and simple to adopt, but it is often completely ignored! A daily cleanser is massively important to keeping your pores clean & your skin nourished.

Standard face wipes just don’t cut it! Sorry. A high quality cleanser can literally help to transform your skin in a matter of days. Our favourite is Dermaceutic Foamer 5. We’ve tried and tested over 40 cleansers, including the big names like Clinique & Estee Lauder. Everybody’s skin is different, but nothing quite compares to Dermaceutic.

5. Sleep for 8 hours, EVERY NIGHT.

The benefits of getting a full 8 hours per night are almost entirely unquestioned. It’s a well known fact that the implications of not sleeping are massive – and can affect our entire body in a LOT of ways.

As a skincare clinic, it is one huge thing which we constantly learn on training courses & medical bulletins. Lack of sleep will reduce skin regeneration, resulting in wrinkles, sagginess & frail skin. Make sure to get 8 hours, or pay the price!

6. Apply a day & night cream.

Another simple, yet often forgotten, tip.

Get a quality moisturiser – which you can apply each day & night. This will help to keep skin cells hydrated, healthy & glowing. When buying your moisturiser, be sure to consider your skin type & condition. Everybody’s skin is different, and applying the wrong type of cream could result in spots & blemishes, if you’re not careful.

Our best advice on finding a great moisturising cream? Test, test, test!

7. Don’t play with spots (and DO NOT pop them)

You might feel tempted to pop that juicy zit – like we all do. But think of it this way. That juicy zit is actually a little sack that is holding oil, acne bacteria, debris & dirt. You do NOT want to be popping that.

You may not think it is a big deal, but puncturing that protective sack will allow the gunk to oooooooze out. If it is broken, and the bacteria & dirt from the zit falls in to other pores, this can lead to more pimples.

More to the point, poking and prodding a spot can force the gunk contained in the sack further in to your skin, resulting in inflammation, redness & infection. You may introduce new bacteria to the area, too. This can lead to scarring and MUCH longer skin recovery periods.

Dermatologists advise to leave the spot alone to live out its lifespan, which should be 2-7 days. Doing this will improve your overall skin condition & help to prevent future spots & pimples appearing.

Keep your face clean and try not to play with it.

8. Try to eat 10 fruit & veg per day.

Far too many people don’t eat ANY fruit or veg each day, let alone 10 pieces! But, vitamins & minerals play a HUGE part in the condition of your skin

A simple way to make sure you’re giving your skin the best possible chance of repairing, regenerating & avoiding blemishes is to fuel your body with vitamins. Make sure you’re eating enough Vitamin C – and be sure to get some leafy greens into your system, EVERY DAY.

And that’s it! Those were our 8 top tips for keeping your skin on it’s A-game.

Go out there and enjoy yourself – and be sure to email us at help@modelstandards.co.uk if you have any questions about anything we’ve mentioned.

The truth about makeup https://modelstandards.co.uk/makeup-cosmetics/the-truth-about-makeup/ Sat, 08 Jul 2017 15:37:38 +0000 https://modelstandards.co.uk/?p=560 The truth about makeup isn’t simple.

It’s often over complicated and under appreciated. It’s distorted and blurred by society, and over shadowed and belittled by the media.

You see, the truth isn’t just black and white. Makeup is a form of art which is valued in many different ways by many different people. People wear it for different reasons, with different desires goals, and desired outcomes. The only rule in makeup is that there are no rules in makeup.

But still, time may have taken makeup’s true purpose away from us.

Most people forget that makeup was actually around a long time ago. A long, long time ago. 12,000 years ago, to be more specific. Way before society told us it was necessary, and way before the media forced a certain look upon us.

The Egyptians wore makeup way back then – to support spirituality and individuality. This was Makeup’s true purpose.

The beauty of makeup is that we can make it what we want it to be – with no reason to explain ourselves. Again. Makeup is an art.

But do we now wear Makeup to fuel creativity, and inspire individuality? Or do we wear it to look the same as society’s expectation tells us to look?

Only you can answer that question.

Is it reasonable to demand explanation for a certain type of person wearing a certain type of Makeup?

Makeup is a form of creativity. It is an art that can be explored, and a therapeutic form of motion that can trigger emotion deep down.

The truth about makeup is that there is no truth, only opinion. We can make of it what we wish, and do with it what we desire.

But just remember one thing,

Makeup is an art, and it has no rules. ✌Go & explore.

How to ALWAYS look good on a photo: 8 tips that all girls should know about https://modelstandards.co.uk/love-yourself/8-photo-tips-all-girls-know-should-know/ Tue, 16 May 2017 17:06:00 +0000 https://modelstandards.co.uk/?p=354 We’re all the victim of a terrible photo at some point in our life – some much more than others. But what is it that allows some to live in an ultra photogenic fairytale – and others to live in Mugshotville? We think that it is almost all down to technique & practice. Celebs all work on their photo skills regularly – and it usually works! So here are 8 tips that all girls should know about – so that we, too, can begin to perfect our photo pose. Go get it girl.

  1. Practice your smile. And then OWN IT.

The biggest problem that most girl’s have is the fact that they’re so petrified that they’re not going to look good that they pull a confused half-smile, which results in the mugness! The key is to learn your smile in your bedroom, repeat your smile in a mirror, get comfortable with your smile, then have it in the back pocket for whenever the camera comes out.

The best chance you’ve got of looking gorgeous is by showing off your confidence. Own your smile. Tell the world you know what you’re doing and you’re proud of your smile.

2. Use your tongue.

A little tip that we got from our salon director, Kirsty Schumann, is to press your tongue on the top of your mouth as you’re having a photo taken. This elongates your neck and helps to avoid the evil double (or triple) chin.

Model Standards Oprah

3. Focus on having GREAT posture.

Nothing turns a camera off more than a hunchback. It’s just a fact. Shoulders back. Head up. Stand tall. And go!

How to look fabulous in a photoshoot

4. Relax!

The thing about photos is that it becomes so stressful that people can really mess up their pose. And their face.

Often, GORGEOUS girls will hate getting photos because they claim they’re not photogenic. Meanwhile, if they actually just relaxed and began to loosen up in front of the lens, their true beauty would really glow. Just relax a little bit and try to not panic. Panic = Mugginess.

How to pose for a photo

5. Group shot? Don’t mimic your friends.

One quick way to look like a group of fools is to try to copy each other by trying not to stand out. All of you must do your own thing, otherwise you’ll inevitably fail at trying to be them. You can’t be them. They can’t be you. They are them & you are you. It’s just the truth.

Instead of pulling the same pose and/or facial expression, just look the camera in the eye & own it. Relax and do what feels natural. Destiny’s Child never tried to act like three identical statues, in perfect synchronicity. Why? Because they’re not a group of fools. They may have been holding the same petrifying hand-gun, but they all owned it in their own way.

How to look good in a photo

7. Cross your legs.

This is quite a simple one but it’s one that most of us non-celebrities mustn’t have been taught in high school. Cross your legs!

There’s a reason why lots of celebrities, when they’re on the red carpet, cross their legs for a photo. It stops you looking like a rigid statue – and shows confidence & control. Practice crossing your legs for a photo in the mirror. It’s simple but can have a massive effect!

Permanent Makeup Liverpool

8. Turn & pose!

Another simple trick of the celebrity trade. Turn & pose! How often do you see celebrities twist and glare in to the lens of the photographers camera? I know, almost ALL of the time. Again, it adds a look of confidence and destroys the rigidness that comes with standing square-on.

So there you have it! 8 simple tricks which are guaranteed to help you own the camera.

Go out and practice these and let us know how you get on.

Kylie Cosmetics has some new competition… He goes by the name of Kanye https://modelstandards.co.uk/gossip/kylie-cosmetics-has-new-competition-called-kanye/ Fri, 24 Feb 2017 14:40:06 +0000 http://www.modelstandards.club/?p=278 Almost everybody in the cosmetics industry is aware of the Kylie range. As a part of the Kardashian Mafia, Kylie Jenner has a ridiculous number of followers on social media – which has, quite literally, sky rocketed her brand’s success. In 2016 alone, Kylie Cosmetics had an income of $18 MILLION – which shows just how much influence she already has. Which is pretty successful, considering the brand is very young and entering a massively competitive market.

via GIPHY

HOWEVER…

She now has some competition – and surprisingly, it has come in the shape of her brother-in-law, good old Kanye West.

Kanye has filed legal documents to launch a new brand in the name of his late mother, Donda, who passed away in 2017. TMZ have reported that the brand will operate in the beauty & makeup industry, producing & selling cosmetics, perfumes and lotions. It’s going to be difficult to compete with Kylie, no doubt. Her products sell out in 5 minutes, every time – and get sold on eBay for 10X the RRP straight once sold out. The demand for her line is HUGE.

Kanye explained a few years ago, via his ‘Donda Chart’, that he wanted to create a lifestyle brand – which covers everything from Medical Research to bicycles and alternative energy production, and everything in between.

He shared the chart with social media last year – which publicly demonstrated his ambitions.

Yes. The freckle tattoo trend is ACTUALLY happening. And we LOVE it. https://modelstandards.co.uk/treatments/yes-freckle-tattoo-trend-is-actually-happening/ Wed, 22 Feb 2017 17:27:29 +0000 http://www.modelstandards.club/?p=251 With the recent demand for Semi Permanent Makeup, we can’t say that we’re surprised that we’re actually posting this about the freckle tattoo.

There is a craze just emerging – and we love it.

Girls across the globe are investing in Semi Permanent Freckle Tattoos – which, quite simply, give you a nice freckly face for 12-24 months.

That’s right, freckle lovers. You can now get a treatment, which is commonly known as ‘Freckling’ where you will be able to fall asleep & wake up every day with the freckles that you know and love.

In a very similar way to eyebrow tattooing treatments, freckles are tattoo’d on to the face of the client with pigment – which sits under the skin for 12-24 months. When done correctly, by a professional (we strongly advise you not to try to tattoo freckles on your own face), you will leave the clinic with tiny specks all over your face.

We’re not exactly sure what has triggered the trend…

…but we’re not complaining. Girls all over the world are beginning to love something which have been considered a ‘flaw’ for years & years.

As you can see in the image below, the area around the tattooed freckle can appear red & slightly swollen immediately after the treatment. However, as you can see on the ‘after’ image, the colour fades, the sharpness of the tattoo reduces – and the client is left with a softer, natural set of freckles.

Freckle Tattoo Model Standards

Wondering whether this treatment is right for you? Make sure you consider these factors:

1. Long term picture.

These freckle tattoos will usually last for 12-24 months, but there may still be small, faded markings in random areas of your face for up to 3 years. This isn’t a problem if you’re planning on keeping the freckles, as you can go back to your technician for a Colour Booster (also known as a Touch-Up), where you will be re-tattooed and the process will begin again. But if you’re planning on ditching the specks, make sure that you understand that some could be there for quite a while.

2. Price.

Semi Permanent Makeup treatments can vary in price, from around £200 (approx. $250) – to £600 (approx $750). In the three clinics that we saw the ‘Freckling’ treatment being offered, the price was £200 to £300. Make sure you don’t get ripped off.

3. Safety.

As always, safety should be your greatest concern. Do not let anybody do this treatment for you that isn’t a professional Semi Permanent Makeup technician, who has vast experience in SPMU treatments.

Let us know in the comments below what you think about the new freckle tattoo trend, and tag us in your social media photos if you have had the procedure done!

How much do Semi Permanent Eyebrow Tattoo treatments cost? https://modelstandards.co.uk/brow-talk/how-much-do-permanent-eyebrows-cost/ Wed, 22 Feb 2017 16:56:07 +0000 http://www.modelstandards.club/?p=249 Have you ever wondered how much semi permanent eyebrow treatments cost? Or how much it SHOULD it cost for a good quality service?

We’ve seen lots of customers find themselves the victim of cheap services – which often means cheap quality. On the other hand, we’ve also seen customers spending fortunes on treatments – and we mean FORTUNES. Either way, it is good to know how much the market usually pays for high quality semi permanent eyebrow services. Without knowing, you could seriously regret it.

Relax! We’re here to give you some clear advice.

Before we go any further – please be aware that everything we say in  this post is intended as impartial, free advice & entirely unbiased. We are here to educate our followers on how to stay at 100% successful, all the time.

We don’t believe in twisting the truth or lying to our friends at Model Standards – and we promise that we will always give you the correct information & advice, even if that means we don’t get your business.

Now. Enough of the boring talk. Back to the beauty bits.

We’re going to keep this short and simple. Hopefully, whether you’re choosing to get your treatment from Model Standards, or anybody else, this post should help you make a great, safe, economical decision. Enjoy!

Semi Permanent Eyebrow Tattoo Before and After

The first thing you should know is that ALL semi permanent eyebrow services should only completed by professional eyebrow technicians that have been trained by an official training provider, who has been accredited by an official governing body in the beauty industry.

For example, Kirsty, our salon director, was trained at Dermace Training. Dermace are a UK training provider that have been accredited by BABTAC, HABIA & VTVC – which are all governing bodies in the UK with HUGE authority (see this link for more information about these companies and the Dermace accreditations http://www.dermace.co.uk/dermace-vtct-babtac-habia-accreditations/).

Before you go ahead with any permanent eyebrow treatment (and any permanent makeup/advanced cosmetics treatments for that matter), you should be ensuring that your brow technician is fully certified to be playing with your face. If not, they could cause serious damage, both aesthetically and physiologically. Do a quick check and make sure that you’re in the hands of a professional.

Now, moving on to pricing. It is difficult to judge the market, and prices do move up and down every so often. So don’t quote us on any of these prices – this is just a guideline.

From the market research that we have completed, we can advise that:

  • The average price of a semi permanent eyebrow service in the UK (for new clients with no previous brow tattoo history) is approximately £295 including VAT. Obviously, the price varies dramatically depending on where you are in the country – with London & surrounding areas being considerably more than elsewhere (as you’d expect).

  • 75% of accredited brow technicians charged between £275 and £375.

  • 65% of the customers that paid less than £200 for their initial treatment explained that they were not satisfied with the outcome of the treatment and that they would reconsider their decision if they could go back in time

  • Only 2% of accredited treatment providers charged more than £450, and these were all based in London.

  • Over 75% of the technicians that we looked at charged £150+ for the 12-18 month top-up. There were just a handful that charged between £100 and £150. Keep this in mind!

The numbers speak for themselves – and make of them what you wish. This is simply supposed to be a post to help you understand what you should be looking to pay – if you decide to go ahead.

Unless there is some kind of huge offer on, and you can clearly see that:

    1. The brow technician is fully qualified, and…
    2. He/she has a lot of high quality case studies to prove their worth.

…we would advise you to be cautious of services for less than £200. If somebody offered you a brand new Mercedes Benz for £3,000, you’d wonder what was wrong with it. Because Mercedes Benz cars aren’t cheap. Well, the same goes for great brows. Just be aware!

On the other hand, be weary that you’re not being ripped off, too, if you’re being charged much more than the numbers above. Even if the technician is asking for a lot of money, please, ALWAYS be sure to ask for evidence of certifications and pictures/testimonials from past clients. We’ve seen people pay fortunes for terrible eyebrows, and we’ve had to clean up the mess.

Remember, this is all just advice. You need to be vigilant and careful when planning your semi permanent eyebrow treatments. Do not live the rest of your life in regret, with the bitter taste of a con-artist brow technician!

Semi Permanent Eyebrow Tattoo – The Step-by-Step Explanation https://modelstandards.co.uk/brow-talk/semi-permanent-eyebrow-tattoo-treatment-procedure-walkthrough/ Wed, 22 Feb 2017 15:28:32 +0000 http://www.modelstandards.club/?p=226 Thinking about getting a set of perfectly designed Semi Permanent Eyebrows be an exciting, but also a nervous, experience.

For a lot of people, it is a step towards a new life, an opportunity to fix something that feels wrong, and a chance to regain some confidence. For others though, it can be a daunting experience which requires a huge amount of thought. If this is you, just keep your gorgeous eyes reading. You’re about to find out exactly why semi permanent eyebrow treatments are one of the simplest & most painless procedures around.

There are different things that go on throughout the semi permanent eyebrow procedure – and to keep it simple, we call them ‘phases’. During each phase, you should feel comfortable, relaxed – and excited for the soon-to-be eyebrows of your dreams.

As always, thanks for everything. Model Standards. X
